Lisa Carney is an insurance professional, and has worked primarily as an independent agent for Aflac since 1997. She and her associates provide supplemental benefits, claims assistance, and customer service to her clients, while concentrating on teamwork, compassion and integrity. She has maintained an office in Woodbury since 2006, creating a “home town” local agency for her clients. Lisa’s clients include governmental, non-profit, and private businesses; she is a past Grand Sponsor of the BLSJ and Master Sponsor of the NJBA. Prior to becoming an insurance agent in 1992 with John Hancock, she worked with many major utilities on residential and low income energy weatherization/management programs both in the field and in management.
Lisa has resided in Gloucester County with her family since 1989, and has been involved in community service here since 1992. Her involvement has included The Kiwanis Club of Woodbury, Santa’s Workshop for Robins’ Nest, The West Deptford Band Parents and Track Parents Associations, and The Interfaith Hospitality Network of Gloucester County. She joined St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Woodbury with her husband, and has enjoyed serving as an assisting minister, church council member, stewardship and fellowship committee chairperson, and voting member at the NJELCA Synod Assembly. She and her husband have also served and traveled with St. Stephen’s Youth Group, and have often worked on their Sandwich Run and Share the Warmth programs for the homeless in Philadelphia. About 20 years ago Lisa was asked to serve on a United Way of Gloucester County allocations panel, and currently continues to serve as a cabinet member on the Community Initiatives Cabinet for the UWGC. She is very active with the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce, and has served on the government affairs and golf committees. She is also a founding board member of 4Epilepsy, an organization that assists children and young adults with a primary diagnosis of epilepsy.
Lisa resides in West Deptford with her husband Mike, and she has 4 children and 4 grandchildren.
